TheRole: Associate Research Analyst, TV Programming Analyst

The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence is hiring for its Media research team, seeking an analyst to support our U.S. TV programming coverage of streamers and networks. Our product is the ultimate resource for complete financial intelligence on the broad and dynamic telecommunications, media, and technology sectors, including broadcast, cable, mobile, television, film, and home video distribution as well as broadband and online video services. This role requires the capability to understand media company financials, synthesize fast-changing dynamics, anticipate market movement from current and past trends, and draw actionable conclusions and market intelligence.
The Impact: As an Associate Research Analyst, you will have the opportunity to drive our TV programming coverage with a focus on the content strategies of streamers and television networks. Day-to-day, you will use your attention to detail and analytical skills to collect relevant data from company-filed reports, interviews, and industry conferences. A writer by trade, you will create data-driven articles and reports that make us the best-in-class source of business intelligence in the telecommunications, media, and technology industry.

What We're Looking For:
Analytical and writing background with the confidence to digest large amounts of information into concise analysis.
Solid data gathering/data modeling experience.
Critical thinking and problem-solving instincts.
Capacity to work independently.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including experience with phone and in-person interviews and presenting research and analysis to C-level and large audiences.
TV network, streaming or content industry experience/interest in Tv programming a plus.
Strong MS office / Excel skills.
Experience working as an analyst in media research, TV networks, streaming or across the television industry is helpful, but not required.
Background or strong interest in television and film.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $56.6k to $75k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
