Summary:
The ideal candidate has broadband/fiber internet and telecommunications compliance experience, as well as experience with fiber billing software requirements. This may include form 477 filing experience, Broadband Data Collection (BDC), Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) requirements, Lifeline program requirements, Broadband Consumer Labels, Emergency Broadband Benefit, post broadband funding Grants/Loan/Auction filings, CPNI, and tax calculations. This person will be responsible for managing projects and receiving support issues from customers in a professional manner.
Conversion to and Implementation of Fiber Billing and Provisioning Systems:
Troubleshooting printing format issues dealing with data files and bill layout
Coordinate calls and/or meetings with members for projects
Researching system configuration options to meet customer requirements
Migrating rates from old to new system, configuring new rates, modifying existing rates
Work with members on changes to their current processes and functionality
Understanding tax calculations and assist with associated configurations
Bill calculations, proration, estimation, and invoice billing
Support:
Log all cases and associated details in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Monitor phone and/or phone queue for phone calls
Writing up fix work orders for identified software issues
Writing SQL queries and updates for the purpose of researching and/or fixing data
File transfers:
Maintain file transfer (FTF) tracking system and create requests for FTFs to be scheduled
Be vigilant and knowledgeable regarding ALL new software releases that are shared with customers. It is critical that we stay on top of our newly released software.
Travel:
Provide software release onsite training and/or lead onsite trips on occasion
Administer training webinars and onsite presentations to internal resources and external members
As required (15% or less)
Availability:
Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary for customer issues and project go lives. This may include, but is not limited to, evenings and weekends on occasion.
Team:
Communicate with management, members, development, and third-party vendors regarding establishing new and enhancing existing integrations
Coordinate with members and development on identifying, researching, testing and implementing new functionality and enhancements
Communicate interdepartmentally as well as across the family of companies on customer issues
Participate in regular internal status calls to share your thoughts, progress, and roadblocks with other team members
Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
Represent the company at conferences and networking events
Adheres to all Meridian Cooperative corporate policies and procedures
Any additional responsibilities assigned by management
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (5 years minimum).
Broadband compliance experience.
Reporting compliance experience.
Fiber software experience.
Must display excellent written and oral communication
Must have the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks that are assigned
Must work well both independently and in a team environment
Must display effective de-escalation skills
Must be able to review and follow written guides and directions
