The primary responsibility of the Network Operations Center Analyst is the monitoring and repairs of the BEC Fiber network. The Analyst is also responsible for the support the Customer Service teams in providing a clear line of escalation for issues they cannot resolve.
Duties and Responsibilities-

Provide escalation support for Customer issues.
Reviews alarm logs daily to ensure alarms are being properly addressed.
Make decisions and take actions to prevent network interruptions and service degradation.
Provide additional resource to remotely configure, manage and troubleshoot the Transport and Access Networks.
Provide technical and analytical support in determining the root cause of network problems and implement action plans based on policies and/or guidelines.
Provide phone support for Customer Service and Field Technicians.
Monitor BEC Fiber Networks using monitoring systems to visually check for outages or issues as well as systems that perform device health checks and responding when problems occur.
Provide input in the improvement of process and procedures.
Ensures customer services satisfaction goals are met.
Coordinates Maintenance for both Internal and 3rd Party.
Ability to multi-task.
Uses excellent communications skills to receive and document detailed information.
Responds to the needs and helps identify, isolate and resolve network and customer impacting issues in a 24X7 operation.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Work will alternate between outdoor field staking, out in the elements, and in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Working under time sensitive schedules and stressful deadlines should be expected. Tobacco free, professional office environment. Working extended hours may be required during emergency situations. On-call and after-hours support required including weekends and overnight shifts.
Stand, walk, lift or exert force up to 45lbs., reach, stretch, climb balance, crouch and stoop. Use of close vision, distance vision, color discrimination, peripheral vision, depth perception and focusing ability. Climb ladders without fear of heights.
High school diploma or equivalent
Cisco certifications preferred, or equivalent work experience
Experience with Ethernet, IP, general knowledge of Fiber Transport and FTTH, WAN/LAN experience, Network Admin experience preferred, basic knowledge of Cisco equipment
Minimum 2 (two) years' experience is desired.
