ox Communications is searching for a Manager of Engineering Change Management who will oversee the change communication plan supporting key Engineering programs, establishes and implements communications for change management and network deployment plans; provides operational assistance and collaboration within the Engineering organization as well as cross functional leaders to ensure successful implementation of changes.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Define and drive execution of a comprehensive Engineering Change Management program and annual plan which creates alignment and action in support of Engineering’s goals and objectives
Creates executive messages and updates on behalf of the Senior Engineering Leadership team as well as drive the key department communication vehicles: All Hands Meetings, Leader Meetings, monthly updates and other forums as required.
Collaborates with engineering leadership, public affairs and human resources to capture the “Voice of the Engineering employee” and use it as input to refine the business and organization support model for Engineering change management communications.
Regularly evaluate communications initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of all stakeholders. Inputs include voice of the employee, leader feedback, industry trends and benchmarks. Use monthly analytics and reporting to identify trends and adjust change management plans as needed.
Demonstrate a strong ability to develop relationships and show effectiveness by consulting between Center and Regional leaders to define key initiatives, success criteria, establish comprehensive plans, and create a process framework to measure success.
Collaborate with engineering teams, Regions and other functional boundary partner groups to ensure consistent and complimentary communications
Establish business integration approaches across initiatives; review and approve implementation risk mitigation plans. Has the ability to understand the impact across multiple stakeholders.
Collaborate with primary boundary partners (e.g. Cox Business, Marketing/Sales, Product Management, Customer Care, Customer Experience, Field Services, Supply Chain) as required to ensure successful deployment of strategic initiatives.
Partner with key organizations to develop cross-project training strategies to ensure successful deployments as required.
7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management, communications or academic equivalent training or projects.
3 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
Demonstrated ability to create end-to-end change management implementation plans that are tailored for both Center and Field based constituents.
Experience leading people, managing teams, setting direction and overall activity priority.
Strong knowledge of Windows based applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).
Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including 3rd party vendors.
Track record of working effectively with all levels of a typical large organization within a matrix structure.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Strong ability to organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate information
Internal client service orientation and work collaboratively
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Business, Engineering, Information Technology)
3 or more years of experience in a management role or leading cross functional projects preferred
Experience in telecommunications industry or other subscription-based business desired
